Established Renton, Washington Law Office seeks a part-time Legal Assistant and back-up Receptionist with the following mandatory qualifications:

  • Experience in Washington State

  • Ability to prioritize, calendar, monitor, and meet all deadlines
  • Excellent writing, grammar and proofing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in organizing and maintaining electronic and paper client files

  • Experience completing court filings (e-filing in Pierce and King Counties)

EXPERIENCED OFFICE MANAGER/PARALEGAL.

We seek an organized, confident, individual who brings the following skills and experience to our fast-paced team:

  • Accounts Receivable: Enter time and client costs to PCLaw
  • Post payments and advances (cash, checks and credit cards)
  • Prepare pre-bills and monthly client statements
  • Collections via phone and correspondence Accounts Payable
  • Monitor office expenditures and pay all office-related expenses accurately posting/coding to appropriate accounts Banking
  • Make bank deposits via remote imaging
  • Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts, and take bank deposits to local bank
  • Enter payroll and process through PayChex online
  • Make timely payroll withholding and tax deposits
  • Prepare and electronically file quarterly tax reports IT
  • First-response on tech issues with varied troubleshooting skills prior to calling in outside support Marketing
  • Coordinate with advertisers/vendors in implementing strong firm marketing in both print and online Human Resources/Benefits Coordinator
  • Liaison between attorneys and staff
  • Recruit/hire/mentor/discipline support staff
  • Monitor staff performance and work flow

  • Perform employee evaluations
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures
  • Oversee and coordinate employee benefits Paralegal Skills: Washington State experience mandatory
  • Backup support when needed in drafting Guardianship and Probate documents and e-filing same
  • Coordinate with messenger service on court runs and service of process, calendaring dates

To be considered for this full-time position, a candidate must have a minimum of three years law firm work experience, possess strong writing, communication, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills; HR and accounting experience; and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Paralegal Certificate or AA/ Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
